So x-mas eve is a busy time for us at the bar. Long story short the people who have been on the news going all over Milwaukee trying to pass off fake $100 bills came in. I saw it, stopped them, tackled the guy in the middle of the street when he tried to run away, cops came and arrested all of them.

West Allis PD told me they were looking for these guys all week and that they hit pretty much every bar in West Allis and most of Milwaukee.

yes, they passed it off, so now the bill, and the $95 in change in in evedence until trial. So I am still out $100 but I stopped them from ripping off other people.

They got our bar a few weeks ago. The bills are definitely "passable" in a very dark tavern! They have the security strip in them and they also pass the "pen test". They are real bills that began life as a $5 and have been washed. The watermark and the denomination imprinted on the strip are the giveaways but most people, myself included before all of this, don't even know to look for those things.
