The reason for this post is two part.....

First: I need to fill two 20lb propane tanks (not interested in exchanging) and cannot seem to find a place near me in Brookfield. I know of three places near the airport (Amerigas, Karl's Party Rental, and Valley National Gas) but would rather not drive 30 minutes each way.....

Second: These tanks are for the Weber grill we bought my parents in Mequon. They are completely new to propane grillin' and I would like to refer a place close-ish to them for refilling.....

:thumbsup

there is a place on 124th between capitol and hampton on the west side of the street, or trade them in at many gas stations or big hardware stores like menards, home depot

U-Haul on Hy100 north of Greenfield. Drive around to the back of the store to fill.
Area Rental Hy100 & Coldspring fills them as well.

Thanks guys, keep the suggestions coming. I should be good for filling but would like to find something closer for my parents. They are located on Donges Bay Rd & Cedarburg Rd in Mequon very near Brew City BBQ......

In Mequon the Ace Hardware store on Port Washington Road south of Mequon Road refills propane tanks.

That's practically right next door to your parents.

Thanks, also Mequon Lawn & Garden just north of Mequon Rd also fills tanks. For some reason searching online did not come up with many results.....:confused

I purchased the tanks from this place, Blair's True Value. $47.99 for a new tank purged and filled on the spot. This is the best price I could find and nobody can touch their frequent filler program.....

Thanks everybody for the input, much appreciated......:thumbsup

What did you end up buying for a grill I never asked? And what did you pay if you don't mind me asking.

I could have sold that grill to you for $439. Assembled and delivered. Call me next time.

You said the last one sold and the prices listed in the other thread were more than $439......:confused

The last one that I had in stock sold the morning AFTER I told you to call me. You told me to hold it if I could, and it was there all day the day that I told you to call me. You didn't call while I was there, I was there for 8 hours that day. It sold the next morning. And had you called me, I could have gotten another one from somewhere. You never got back to me so I assumed you weren't interested. Oh well, glad you went with that model, by far the best bang for your buck in a Weber. So much so that they aren't making the model anymore because they sold to many for to cheap.

I was going batshit looking at 5,438 models/versions of Weber grills and probably missed something along the way, no worries. I am VERY happy with what we bought (along with my parents) although you could have saved me $40. I might be in the market for a portable Weber grill this spring.....;)

As far as refills Ace, otherwise most of the gas stations in the area do exchanges, I usually go to the one on the corner of 76th and Mequon because its so close to my house, and they usually let me pick out the heaviest one.
