Aluminum scrap prices/Worth it??

So I have two Aluminum wheels that are junk because I got run into a curb. I'd guess they weigh 15-20 lbs a piece at least. Is there a place I can recycle these at. Is it even worth taking the time to take these someplace? I've never recycled anything bigger than a few bags of Aluminum cans. :rolf So how does this work?

You can repair wheels pretty easy to a point. Most places are paying $.70 for aluminum cans, maybe more for scrap.

its at like $1.05/lb You can go down to Action Metal and they just weigh it up, give you a tare weight (sp?) and you cash out.

oops scratch that, that was what I saw AL trading at.
It depends on what kind of alloy, but probably a little closer to sslevo's number, maybe around ~80-90 cents.

I just got almost $4 for an aluminum rear bumper at Miller Compressing :goof . Only weighed 17 lbs IIRC. I don't think $1 per lb is accurate but I'm not an expert at scrap prices either. Just dumped a bunch of crap there Monday, an old washing machine and 4 rotors plus a big cast iron wheel from a stationary bike, got $35 total. Worth my time for sure but then again I'm cheap and rather not have someone take it from my curb and get money when I can do the same thing. Driving my Buick around that place and not having a clue of what/where I was going was priceless as well :D .

Honestly I am not sure. They are the OEM Ford Mustang Wheels that can be seen in my Sig. I assumed they were Aluminum.

Is Magnesium worth more or less?

I highly doubt an oem mustang wheel would be mag, some of the corvette wheels were but they aren't cheap.
