So, decided to plasti dip my factory sport wheels on the daily since the winters are on right now. Wanted black wheels without the "permanent" issue incase I dont like it. All of $25 in parts and a few hours total. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic!

Comments? Thoughts?

Not bad, idk if it's just the cell cam or what but they dont look AS dark as the car, which might look goofy when they go back on.

looks neat though.

Are you going to balance them before you put them back on? I know some of the off-road guys use bed liner on their wheels which throws the balance off because it is so thick, which plastidip is just as thick isn't it?

Hope those wheels were squeaky clean when you did it otherwise its coming right off. That stuff is not very durable but the finish does look good

I actually like different sheens and shades of black on cars.

that will only last a few days before it starts to peel.

 m wheels in black are way sexy. Let us know how it holds up in spring. This could be like vinyl wrap for wheels!

Dam I was gonna say they look good. To bad it's not a long lasting thing.

kinda liked the rims the way there were... that is unless they were pitting and stuff.

Supposedly, this stuff actually lasts quite a while. I have talked to a few people who have used it on wheels, mouldings, etc.. and they are going on well over 2 years with no problems. Besides, if it starts to come off, I just grab and peel and it's back to normal!

The wheels did have some minor curb rash and the clear coat was starting to peel on two of the four so I figured I would give it a shot.
