View Full Version : Anyone catch the classy move by a Jets coach?

Leaned his leg out just as a player covering a punt was running alongside and took him out. Running full speed and to get hit from the front/side of the knee could have been really bad. I still cant believe a flag or ejection wasnt immediately done but hopefully this guy gets fired!

I did catch that. Not a good example for a coach to set for sure.

I'm going to have to watch it on TV...it's hard to tell if the coach was even aware that they were coming up on him. The resolution of the vid isn't high enough for me to get a good look....

He admitted that it was on purpose.

This guy also got an award at Hofstra where he was a line backer for....get this.....

GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP.

In 2000, as a senior at Hofstra, Alosi was presented with the Mayor's Trophy, which, according to the university's media guide, is "symbolic of good sportsmanship and fair play both on and off the field of competition."

"Not thinking" or whatever his reasons may be, it's unexcusable if he knew what he was doing.

I'd stick up for the guy if he didn't see, or wasn't aware...been on enough sidelines to know how easy it is to be caught unaware...but to know? Gone.

lol, the booth reviews said that he was seen looking around for direct witnesses before leaning onto his knee. agreed, he should be fired and heavily fined...talk about a defenseless player and malicious intent! If godell doesnt fine and suspend this asshat, then he should return all of the money he has taken from players for doing what they were trained to do.

Sorry,

Dont see that big of a deal. They all cheat all the time. he got caught up in the moment. if im at a bar and the pal I went with gets punched in the face and I punch that dude that did it wasnt right, it was malicious and I would get fined/jail time but I would feel good in doing it AND be wrong.

Im sure his players had his back. Just a dumb move and wrong place or time.

No big deal to me.

Suspended the rest of the season and a 25k fine. How much does a coach like that make a year?

anyway you cut it, that is dirty and unsportsmanlike. cheating is one thing but hitting a player out of the field of play is another thing.
