Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place. I know a lot of you are capable of fixing the stuff yourself but I'm asking for a little help. I am a full time employed mechanic with 2 kids and massive medicals from previous surgery and I'm just barely making ends meet so what I'm asking is if anyone knows anyone who needs there lawnmower snowblower or any small engine work done ill do it cheaper than most shops. Pm me or leave a response here with what you need and ill come up with a fair price. Thanks for the help

I've turned down some small engine work in recent past, will refer you for future requests. Location or general area?

Craigslist might be another avenue to run a little blurb maybe? People who are looking for snowblowers may own units in need of work.

I have a Craftsman riding lawnmower that is just a bitch to start. It's a brand new Kohler engine too. I guess I could never figure out how to dial it in.

The tractor I'd have too wait till february for. Do too lack of room. The hedge trimmer I can def fix. I can also sharpen chainsaw chains and lawnmower blades

I have an early '80's go cart with a B&S 3.5 horse engine. Crankshaft broke off. What are the chances of getting the crank replaced, and the engine rebuilt? I want to keep it for originalty sake.

Thanks.

New or used crank, check the clearance with plastic strip order bearings and waaa laaa.

If you go that far ( instead of just buying another 3.5 horizontal engine ) you might as well rebuild the whole thing. Hone it out with new rings lap the valves and waaa laaa.

got a couple go-kart motors i've been thinking about selling them. they are pretty much new. I have a snowblower that I have to get up and running. Do you charge by the hour?

Ok so for fritz. I can get ya rings gaskets and a great used crankshaft and lap and clearance your valves. Brad those motors were bearing less.

Wi_dave chains I do for 6 a piece. That's with taking the rakers down and wire wheeling all the crud out

Hotshift. My price depends on what it would need to get running. My labor rate is 25 an hour. But I do single stage tune ups for $55 this includes the carb work new plug fuel filter and fuel system flush. 2 stage snowblowers I do for 70 and it includes all of the above plus oil change. I also check the entire machine for worn out or broken parts

Hmmmm the rod end is split right ? now that I think it is all aluminum with no bearing to clip in.... hmmm

Yes brad you are correct. Most 2 strokes will have needle bearings on the rod and roller bearings on the crank ends. Most 4 strokes are just aluminum on the crankshaft.

Nice timing on this thread. My snowblower auger was frozen today and upon closer inspection it appears to need some service. I've had it about 5 years now and done nothing to it but add gas and oil. And it does 2-3 driveways with every use so I'm sure it could use some TLC.

Lemmy get past this storm and I'd like to get it to ya and get it back before the next storm.

Twigbert sounds good. Have enough parts at my house now for a few tune ups. So if anyone need something tonight I can gladly do it.

No idea how the engine is beside the crank missing it's external area. I bought it 2 years ago just like it sits.

I would just like it done, so all I have to do is bolt it on and go. Got a ballpark price in mind?
