Looks like we'll be changing over to snow in a couple hours.
This storms been parked over southern Mn and northern Wi all damn day.
I'll bet they get 15" up there.
It depresses me to look out and see rain in December, I hope we get at least 6" tonight.:thumbsup

We will get at least 15" I'm thinking, we had a solid 6" overnight and the worst is supposed to be this afternoon and evening. I am thinking I have a foot in the front yard now, I plowed once and you cant hardly tell.

honestly I hate the "in between weather"/ 32-50 is too cold to enjoy cars and bikes, but to warm to get the sleds out. Lets keep it sub-freezing and snowy now that its actually winter. f the rain

My girlfriend is wrapping up her last semester in Green Bay right now and she called to tell me the news stations are flashing weather alerts saying " do not leave your house unless you have a winter survival kit in your car. 12" of snow tonight." She said that the news stated they are holding off on plowing the roads because they cant keep up and its a waste of salt and gas
I was also informed one of the branches in Marshfield never opened today because they called it quits on plowing up there around 8 this morning. i guess the first plow truck didn't start till about 1 this afternoon.
Crazy.
btw its snowing out in Ashippun wi right now so I would say Oconomowoc and Hartford should be getting snow as of now.
Did anybody else see that I-94 is shut down between Madison and Eau Claire.
It has finally started to snow here.

If you check the map for the freeze line, it goes pretty much right over the Milwaukee area all day yesterday and it is north of you guys today, so that explains the rain.

Minneapolis is closed, lol.
Even if you can manage to land at MSP on the one open runway, you wont be getting very far.

We were in Johnson Creek when it started snowing... That was probably 7:30-8ish... Already had a decent amount here in Oconomowoc when we got home at like 10...

Hard to tell how much we got up here with all of the wind overnight. Some areas were thicker, while others had a slight dusting.
I still had fun learning how to plow the driveway with a tractor. Much better than shoveling!

Last winter was not very fun. We had it plowed by a guy with a truck, but he only came if it snowed 3" or more, IIRC. Since I came home while it was still light out after work, guess who was expected to shovel most of the driveway.
At least this winter, the driveway is completely empty (no cars, trailers, etc. to plow around). Was nice while I was drifting around, I mean "learning". (:

no chains or weights? hell my dad went nuts with our tractor calcium filled tires, 4 suitcase weights on the back and chains. i can pretty much plow anything. i usually go out and plow on the ice when its thick enough :) on ice it'll drift and i'll agree it tis fun

100 pound wheel weights on the rear. Has some big tires in the rear, but I don't think they are meant for snow traction.

Try flip flopping the back tires so the direction points the other way. Did this on my 2wd fourwheeler and it made a world of difference in the snow.
