Flags will fly at half-staff Wednesday in Wisconsin to honor a U.S. Army specialist from Greenfield who was killed in Afghanistan.

Spc. Scott Thomas Nagorski, 27, died Nov. 14 during an insurgent attack that also killed four other soldiers in Kunar province.

Specialist Scott Thomas Nagorski died defending our country on November 14, 2010 in Kunar Province, Afghanistan at the age of 27. Scott was a 2002 graduate of Franklin High School. He had been stationed in Kentucky at the time of deployment. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a memorial fund to benefit Scott's daughter Melodie appreciated.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked by his wife and parents to attend Scott’s services and to allow us to show our respect for this young hero. We will also escort Spc Nagorski to his final resting place.
