Have 2 8ft ballast lights I just installed and one of them is buzzing much louder then the other, any idea what's wrong or how it can be made to be a bit more quiet?

did you properly calibrate it?

You know....the gentle whack across the side of the light fixture until it does what you want LMAO!!

I have alot of them at work and some are loud and others are silent. Short of replacing the ballast I am not sure what would fix it. It can be annoying to listen to, but if they work its hard to convince them to let me replace the ballasts.

If you figure something out post it lol

Check all the mounting screws, some times the ballast is just loose.

Depending on the type of ballast you have, magnetic, electronic, ... some don't like cold very much and that can cause them to buzz.

The buzz is the internal transfomer windings viberating. Besides shaking it and replacing it, there is nothing you can do.
