I just found out that the Mopar T/A hood is now available with the option of being functional. My questions are:

1) should I get it for my car?
2) If i get it, do i paint it body color, or flat black?
3) Should i go with hood pins while im there?

Thank you!

That does look a tad better than it does in that picture on the red one.....But still too much IMO.

As others said, the stripes on it make it look much better.

I think it would look better if it was a shaker style scoop. I like the design just would look better if the hood closed over it. I don't like the seam looks like a Lund stick on scoop. Looks better on Blue then Red

The stock hood looks tons better. The one with the scoop looks like a cheap autozone stick on.

X100000 A cowl hood would look sick I think, but I like your stock hood more than that scoop.

Flat black with stripes no hood pins

Stick with your plans and don't get this hood. If you put stripes on the new hood it won't look right with the side stripes.

Now THIS I can agree with! I don't like the T/A hood.

instead of flat black you could always do the pink they offer :)
and... realisticaly... do purple.

If it was an SRT, maybe. On a RT, not a chance.

There's no way. Functional or not its still not going to do much. I bet buying nthat thing and painting it would cost more than getting a good set of long tubes or something. Imo stay away.....far away.

Toss up. I like your car as is. Not sure the cash would translate into that much of an improved look. If you go I'd say paint the hood purple, the scoop flat black and include the pins.

Just because I didnt drop an extra 7000 dollars for bigger brakes and 50hp?

Im slowly building this car/engine, so I was just looking for ideas. The hood on my car now is functional. I have this ram air kit:
