looks like the illegitimate love child that resulted from threesome involving a mini, an SRT4 and an aveo?

That can't be a Fiat, there's no rust holes in it...........

after a little searching: The Abarath will weigh roughly 2,200 lbs, and will be powered by fiat's 1.4 multi-air/DI w/ turbo/intercooling for 170hp. As fox stang points out, built in mexico.

Regular 500's will be ~ 100 hp, 2,140lbs, rated for mid 40's gas mileage, and right around 40mpg combined.

I wish we got the 60mpg diesel version like europe...

Only if it will pass tier IV emissions w/o being cost prohibitive. I think thats why we see so many of these euro spec cars coming over with no intentions of a oil burner option is the tier IV cert.

good im glad we are not getting it here in madison...... well as long as i don't have to work on them. Do you know what the deal is going to be on that? will C/J/D/R dealers have to do work on them? I'm guessing not since they won't have the "training"

Its probably going to be along the lines of Sprinter. If you dont carry them, you cant work on them under warranty.

I keep seeing the little shitboxes on US23 going 55mph. It's a road that even the semis go 70 on. They look like a rollerskate-ized version of the Nitro with the gayness of a Concorde.

I'm looking forward to seeing this car. I've been a fan of the old 500 Abarth and this one evokes that image.

I guess to me that is not a sig line this is

"If it is below 5 volts, you will be directed to perform a series of tests that will effectively raise the billable hours for the service department, but will perform no other useful function."

and the fact that i have been a chrysler tech for almost 15 years that is funny as shit to me

Depending on how well it was taken care of and how many winters its been through, it too may be getting close to 2200 pounds :goof

I would rock the 500 Abarth. It might dominate in autox and suprise a lot of people in a straight line as well.

It really depends on how much they want for the Abarth option for me. I really want a 500C Abarth, but I don't want to pay more than ~$20k for such a small car, regardless of the features. In the end I'd be happier with a regular 500C (the convertible version of the 500) than a hardtop Abarth, as a daily driver. I don't care if it's a "chick car" I always thought it was cool.
