So just wondering who on here collects 1/18th scale and how are they displayed? Here are some pics of mine. And I am up to possibly trade cars for others :shades

Thanks, athough these are older pics. I have gotten a couple more. I now have the cars mirror to mirror and I am in the process of deciding on shelving or display cases

I was lucky enough to "adopt" my husband's collection of 1/18th scale cars when we moved in together. He has way too many. It was a pain moving all of them without damaging the boxes. We have two cabinets filled and a few around the house. The rest are too nice to take out of the boxes.

Mine are all stored in the basement and closet, and all Oldsmobiles

See I always take them out of the box's { I still have the gmpp's box's} Cause I like to see them up close if the mood strikes me. I just like the way they look. And as far as moving them. I find if you use the shoebox size rubbermaid containers with packing peanuts they work very well. It was pretty funny going to the store and buying them out!

I like the bookshelve look to. Very nice.

My collection is huge mostly Nascar stuff. Dad has since dumped a lot of the 1:24th and 1:64 stuff we had in favor of H.O. scale trains. I do still have many rare items, my favorite being the very first 1995 Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt 67' Camaro, Dale Earnhardt Drivers suit from Winners Circle or the 48 car case of Original NM Redlines.

What is everyones favorite diecast piece that you own?

Not the best pics, but I prefer to build my own. I have a couple of die-casts left.
I gave away most of them to a neighbor kid who collects them.

I think you can see the infamous Chinese Hong Qi Limo in here next to the East German Trabant. I like off the wall Eastern Bloc cars.

I wish I had the patients to build them. It takes a real steady hand I would imagine!

One of these days I'll take pics of all of mine. They are all in the big tupperware containers since I have nowhere to display them right now.

Every special occasion like birthday and Christmas my grandma has gotten me a die cast from the various mints. They are all expensive ones so I really don't want to put them out until I have something decent to show them off in. It'll just have to wait until I get a house.

See the cabinet I have mine in. It's a nice real wood one with glass shelves and mirrored back, made in Wisconsin. Some place was going out of business and had them going cheap. Usually $800, I got this for $300.

yeah I want an all glass one with lights in it. I look around at places that go out of business but they still want like $700 for them. I'm going to wait till i have a house anyway.

Every time someone mentions diecast cars I think of andy, guy works for heiser and claims to have over a million 1/64 scale cars, hundreds of the 1/18th scale ones.
