It's been a while since I was in the turbo dodge world, but I think they are the same as the 89 Shelby Z. It wouldn't surprise me if the parts store databases don't have the CSX information fully populated.

Yeah...it's definitely different looking for parts when there were only 500 of a given car. It's bizarre since some shops show there being two different calipers for the CSX, based on if it had 14 or 15 inch wheels...and they had the 14" units in stock. Looking at the one that came off, it looked kosher...but in the shop, it didn't work. But what's weird is there was only one wheel for 89 csx, the 15" composite "fiberides."

Fortunately Dan's got me covered! Thanks bud!

*errr* wrong, lol.

1989 Shelby CSX.

Basically a Shelby-ized Dodge shadow.

Unlike the "Shelby Daytona," these were part of the numbered car series that
were modified directly by Carol Shelby's skunkwork's shop.

Sorry for the size of the pics:

My dad bought this brand new while I was in HS,
and now the goal is to have it like new by Father's Day.

Rebuilding the trans, new clutch, new brakes, new exhaust,
then will go through with new vacuum/oil feed lines, good basic
tune-up with the simple Turbo Dodge hop up mods.

Can't do all the exact same mods since this is a Variable nozzle
turbo...a tiny one at that, it's a T25. But there are a couple easy
stuff one can do, no doubt.

After it's mechanically right, then it'll be off to a body shop for new
paint, etc.

It's a nice little car that was good for it's time. Good handling, decently quick
little car-ran a 14.99 (lol...that was my goal, break 15) @ 94mph.

It'll be my father's day gift to my dad though.

Chris I never saw a listing for a 15 inch listing in the book. We shall see what UPS brings.

Chris I never saw a listing for a 15 inch listing in the book. We shall see what UPS brings.I'm not terribly worried...that alone makes me think it's more correct than what I've got.

I'll show up with the correct and the wrong one tomorrow so we can compare :thumbsup

If it has 11" rotors the calipers should be the same as on the 89 Daytona Shelby. For all the things the Shelby guys did with the turbo dodges they never used anything other than factory brakes.

For all the things the Shelby guys did with the turbo dodges they never used anything other than factory brakes. It uses 10.5 inch rotors...I have no doubt that there is no difference b/w it and another K-car derived product. Just not certain on which one...

I know the rotors were unique both front and rear though.

Do the front calipers have 1 or 2 mounting pins? I am guessing in 89 it should be single pin caliper in which case the caliper should be the same as in the 89 Caravan. If it is two pins then 91 Caravan calipers should be a match. Either way you want them from a 4 cylinder or 3.0 V6 with 14" wheels. The 3.3 V6 models had different hubs and brakes. You should be able to find these at local parts stores to do a comparison with your calipers.

I've got a set of larger bolt on calipers/rotors...in the back of my truck destined for scrap.
Didnt think about you (even tho here talking about it) but I have a set of Spirit R/T calipers WITH adapter brackets destined for scrap if you get stuck. No prop valve swap needed they are bolt ons.
