Picked up this up this past Friday, its an 85 z28 with a carbed 350. Plans are to either swap in an Ltx/Lsx or simply build up the carbed 350. I had a lead on a complete bbody with an lt1 but the guy ended up selling it before I could get to it so I am doing some more research. I am leaning towards the carb motor being that it appears to be the cheapest option but who knows what will come along. Not looking to get to crazy, just something fun to drive on the street that looks good, after all its the "wifes car" ;)

It will soon be sporting some 17" wheels and a drop, soon to follow a new hood and maybe a solid paint scheme.

Thing looks really clean! Any rust? To bad it doesn't have the high performance 305 :durr

Don't forget to add it to the list of cars in your sig either.

Just build up the motor you have in there. Heads, cam, intake, ect. Should be cheap.

Check the floor pans in the area by the pedals. It likes to rust there. Looks like a great start to a potentially really fun car!

Is the motor that is in it a stock 350? The reason I ask is 85 never came with a 350, only a 305 and 305 H.O. for the v8 option. Keep us posted with what work you do to it. Reminds me of mine when I first got it. Visit www.thirdgen.org TONS of information on them and a very great group of knowledgeable guys.
