Need Computer guru help

I bought a PS3 and Im trying to set up the wireless on it.

I have Charter Internet, Motorola Modem, and Netgear router...

I get to the point on the setup where it asks for the WPA key, and I hit a wall.

I called Charter and they said since it is not thier router, that they cant help me...But the Tech was the one setting it up and he never gave me what the code/Key is.

I tried using the 8 digit code on the wireless router and it also did not work.

Anyone know what I should try next to get this thing going?

isnt the wep key in your router set up,joe put mine right on my desktop,im justa dumb animal but it worked for me lol

what kind of router is it usually if u open ur browser thats attached to the router and type in 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, when a box pops up usually the default is ADMIN and password is password, then click on wireless and scroll down to where it says wep encryption and there is what u need to enter, this is for a netgear router by the way not a N router btw also

The charter guy that configured it for him. Did not tell him any of the password info. So we reset it.
