You'll need to fill out a Form 4 and have your chief law enforcement officer sign off on it, saying ot is ok by him and local laws that you have one. Form 4 form costs a 1 time tax of 200.00 per item. You get fingerprinted and take a picture, and then send all of that into the NFA branch of the ATF....then wait. When you get it back then you can have the silencer, or full auto, or short barreled rifle.

you have to account for any firearm you've ever owned, really. If a search is done on one and your name comes up as an the owner you better be able to show them the weapon or the name and address of the person you sold it to.

The only full auto you can own is what' referred to as a transferable automatic. Which is any automatic manufactured prior to 1986, I think June is the cutoff date. Anything made after that and you have to be a type 7 manufacturer with calss 2 SOT and a contract to provide automatics to law enforcement or military.

I believe if the ATF wants to see your NFA weapon, you have to show them, I don't think they have the right to inspect the rest of your stuff. As a dealer you are subject to an inspection of your store and off premise storage facilities. I don't think you give up seizure rights, unless you are breaking a firearm law.
