I've posted a few times in my hunt for a 4l80 for my swap project. Right now most wrecking yards are in the 800-1200 range for one from 2001-2005 (didn't try any newer than that).
I found a 2wd 4l80e on craigslist being parted from a 98 c3500. Supposedly works fine, he's looking for ~$500. Any opinions? For the money even if it needed a rebuild the price doesn't seem terrible, but I gotta figure out the difference between 98 and 03' trannies.
