I'm trying to avoid taking it to a dealer but if need be I will.
From what I have been told the Nissans need special software/scan tools to trouble shoot them.
Just looking for a shop to trouble shoot and repair our 2000 Xterra.

I called Randy as well for help with my Mistu and he gave me a number to call for better help with diagnosing. Randy's is more for general maint and service not so much on the troubleshooting because they are a 2 man-show. He recommended Phil's auto service for troubleshooting/diagnosing imports...262-543-0962

Called Phil's today, I will be taking it over there in the next day or 2. Thanks guys!
BTW the number above is a bad number. 542-0962 is the number Yahoo came up with.
Thanks again!
