View Full Version : JL Audio 500/1 V2 amp problems

Hey guys as stated I have a JL Audio amp that will turn on for about 20-25 seconds then shut off. Is there any places in the milwaukee that fixes car amps. Any info would be great. I love this amp and dont want to buy a new one unless the price to fix this one is greater than buying a new one.

Send it to JL through a JL dealer. Sounds like a power supply problem.

Problemed solved! There's a signal sensing switch and also a remote signal hook up on the amp. For some reason the signal sensing switched got turned on. And if you run a remote wire from radio to the amp and have the switch on it will turn the amp on then 20 seconds turn itself off. Super happy there was nothing wrong with the amp.
