I know, I live here, lol. I never get out though, and want to take the significant other out tonight. Looking for a good meal, nice atmosphere, not Texas Roadhouse, lol. Thanks in advance:thumbsup

Or, if you're feeling even more classy, I'm sure there's one of those cafes inside a Walmart out there.........

My g/f works at Sports Beat where Charcoal Grill used to be. We went there and it was good, it's a bit different setup.

All I mean by that is theres a a sit down area and the waiters are dressed in all black and decoration on the table. Then theres the bar half and the bar tenders are in little referee jerseys, music and lights and such.

x3 on Fox and Hounds.

A co-worker owns Copper Dock. Haven't been there yet, but I hear great things. That is also in the Hubertus area.

You just texted me about Johnny Manhattans as well. Haven't been there in a long time, but it's always quite busy for dinner, so I imagine they are doing well.

We tried Johnny Mannhattens. Let me start by saying it's pricey, it was $83 for 2 of us before tip, and I don't drink. The Mrs' had one Martini. We both had steak, she really liked hers (a garlic stuffed filet), and I had a large filet. Odd that onions and mushrooms were alacarte at this price range, but they were, and neither of us had them. The cuts were good, and cooked well, but mine, being just a "plain" filet was just a good, if flavorless, cut of meat. If you can make the drive, head to Butler Inn in Pewaukee, eat Louie's 5 Star, and have the best piece of meat I personally have ever tasted. I have never taken anyone there (and I take LOTS of people there) that hasn't shared my opinion.

Thanks for the recommendations everyone, I will try some of the others to!!

Is Poplar Inn The one off 5th Ave? My wife and I also noticed a sports bar kiddie corner from the old court house on 5th. Benders is always good down Paradise past the High School.

The sports bar is pilllars, used to be a coffee house. Poplar in is next to the library, used to be Brown Dog pub.
