J-U-N-K!!
Too many nice ones out there to spend all that dough on restoring a burned car.
Hell the air horns on the tri-power are melted and warped!!!!

Been thinking lately about buying a rust free 64 tub is the near future Jim. Let me know if you come across anything!

So that car was a tri-power car?

Restoring may be out of the question, but a shell like that would be excellent for a drag car or pro street project, hell even a period-style Super Stocker. No sense using a nice car to cut up.

It will be nothing special.

Just a white galaxie 500, tear drop hood, fiberglass argent bumpers, 600ish hp FE, 4 speed, body color steels, and a plate that says BOSS 64! :thumbsup

Pretty much a light weight clone.

Tri-power was added to a Z code 390 car.
I'll keep an eye out for a nice '64 for you.

That sounds just about right! Do it Andy!!! You will love it. Old cars are special. Something about them...sure they might not be as fast as say your Fox but it doesn't matter. :banana1: :D

^^ Word. Even though the Belvedere is a turd, I get a special feeling when I drive it, or even just look at it sometimes. Damn, maybe I should go for a drive today!

Oh it matters, that is why you need both! Fast fox bodies will always be on the top of my list! :thumbsup

I just meant that if your Galaxie runs 11.50s you won't even care. The torque, sounds, smells etc of these old cars make it all worth it!
