ABS codes?

Does anybody have a code reader that works for ABS systems? Or is there a way to pull a code without one??

The wife's '04 Escape has decided to engage the ABS for no reason. Low speeds, high speeds, doesn't matter. ABS light is on also.

Any advice on who to talk to or where to go would be appreciated.

If the ABS/TCS light not on there might not be a code to go by.
Might need to watch the ABS data stream. Then drive it, check if you can see a bad/poor wheel speed sensor input causing the issue.

Blah, never mind, I though it said Explorer rather than escape.

The ABS light is on. From the research I've done and with Durty Kurt's opinion, it should be just a bad sensor. I just don't want to replace one at a time until I find which one is bad. Hoping to find a code reader and go from there I guess....
