But what I posted there:

I always had a soft-spot for the SVO 2.3 turbostangs of the 80's. This strikes me in that tradition.

Different but cool. Swapping a sub 100hp 2.3 NA (as you know it was) for that gets a thumbs up from me :thumbsup

either its got a huge turbo and lags like hell or hes pussy footin it. either way its pretty cool its different i think it needs an exhaust tho sounds like crap off the down pipe like most 4 cyl cars :goof

its a cool swap but it honestly doesn't look like it moves out all that fast?? Like others have said, unless he accomplished something by going this route, why bother? Make more power putting a turbo on a SBF motor

Engage the TBrake, stand on it and put the fucker on the rear bumper. Until it does that with that stupid transplant, it's a waste of a perfectly good Fox-Body.

Just giving the benifit of the doubt, if the car just got done i could see why the car isn't 100% complete, i'm sure the car will have a hood on it, i know first few times me and my friends have taken stuff out that just got done the hood was off. "perfectly good foxbody" how many hundreds of thousands of those did ford make? you know how many rotted pos ones i see? atleast this guy is doing something with this one. the 46G3 is easily one of the BEST 4 cyl. motors of all time put that in a fox body which again is one of the best drag platforms out there you got a pretty good platform.

good chance 97% of us wouldn't have seen this car if it had a sbf turbo in it. he got the internet looking and talking about it.

estimating the weight under 2500lbs. GT35R turbo 5600 stall, hence why the car seems goofy on the street.
pics were in August when it was getting built, so i'm assuming it just got done.

I am assuming that the owner will be putting on a substantially larger turbocharger on the car in the future. A GT35R is absolutely puny for that kind of stall. More than likely a GT42R (74mm inducer) variant will be on that car.

Mid 10's is great for that small of a turbo on a 2.0L 4G63; especially in an AWD or RWD configuration. It is just a 61mm inducer turbo on a 122cu/in motor.

As for wheelies, I am sure that the car won't need to do a wheelie to go fast. With a properly dialed in suspension and bars, it should be a smooth and flat launch.

As for "lacking low-end torque", well, I guess they do when compared to an engine that is triple the displacement and 8 cylinders.... They are no slouches though; my 4G63 was making 766AWHP/713TQ with the old setup on a GT4088R (63mm inducer) with peak torque at 4700rpm-7000rpm then dropping til 8400rpm, and peak HP holding from ~5000-8400rpm with over 600AWHP from 4000rpm-8600rpm.

The GT35R is a great street turbo, except that it is not a good combination with that stall torque convertor that the Mustang owner is currently running.

Someone does something actually DIFFERENT and puts a FWD motor in a rwd car, and looks like it goes pretty well, its "GAY" "STUPID" and a "WASTE".

4G63's are quite cheap also which is probably why this was the motor selected for the build. But even cheap motors get expensive in a hurry when you built the thing to handle any kind of boost. Lil Evo's car impresses me more than this Ford

technically you own one. the original 2.4 was in altimas and stuff those are front wheel drive. the current motor i've never seen in a fwd car tho sooo....

The current motor in my car was never offered in a car in America......Sorta.

The SR20DE was in the Nissan Sentra SE-R. The SR20DET was offered in Numberous Nissans in Japan and Europe. Both of RWD and FWD Variety. :thumbsup

This swap makes sense. If your on a budget, a 4cyl fox body has to be cheaper than a clean 240 chassis. I won't judge anybody that's trying something different to go a little faster.
