It's been 1 year, 4 months and 12 days since I've been back in a Ford. Man does it feel good to be back in one, but this time it’s a Truck. I do miss the old Thunderbird, but I have since moved on to better things. A 1999 SVT Lightning that is. I picked her up a couple weeks ago and couldn't be happier with my decision. These pictures were taken at Miller Park in Milwaukee, WI.

Last Dyno was around 527 rwhp / 571 rwtq

Last 1/4 mile was 12.39 @ 109.93

1999 SVT Lightning
63,500 miles

- Forged 5.4 bored .20 over, Manley H-Beam rods, Diamond pistons, APR studded heads, Comp (SC) Cams, Cobra R water pump, Motorsport oil pump.
- Kenne Bell SC
- Accufab single blade throttle body with inlet pipe.
- 60lb injectors
- Accel coils
- Bassani headers, mid pipe with mac cat back.
- Tranny has precision industries 2800 stall converter, AFCO twin cooling fans with twin fan heat exchangers.
- Diablo sport tune
- Comp engineering slide a link suspension, 4:10 gears, rear drop shackles, driveshaft loop.

Thank you!

Josh

So this is what the fast one looks like? :D On another note I would ditch the hood for a stocker, lower it, and get the exhaust tip rewelded so it's tucked.

nice looking truck but i agree with getting the stock hood back. and also getting the exhaust tips tucked in a little better.. and lose the stickers under the hood. other than that it looks great!

Looks good. You might be able to lift the tips up with the hanger right near the end that is bolted to the frame. The interior needs an expy console. :thumbsup

I need to go take pics of mine while it's still clean and nice outside.

I guess it is just me but I kind of like the hood. There is a guy in my neighborhood that has a Shaker hood on his ford truck. I think that would look even better on yours.

Fucking Hott!

Maybe it's just me but I usually never see them in red.

The paint and wheels just "pop" in the sun. I bet it looks sweet rolling down the road.

You should do a nice 20% tint on the windows. Just a thought.

I didn't like the hood at first, I'm the type that likes to keep the stock look, but it's there for now and it's growing on me. As for the tips, I know, I had to weld some cats on the mid pipe so it kind of added a couple inches to the car back part of the exhaust. Thank you for the comments guys! :)
