Lost one of my kitties

Roush passed away today while Adam and I were not home. It looks as if it happened while he was sleeping, since we found him curled up by the front window. He looked peaceful, so I hope he wasn't in any pain.

We were not expecting this, as he is only a little over 2 years old and has been very healthy. Our vet did tell us he had a heart murmur, but with his age, it wasn't something that we needed to look into too much. Haven't ever lost a cat so young, as all of the other cats growing up were put to sleep because of health conditions at an elderly stage.

His brother (littermate), Otis and "brother from another mother" Oscar keep hanging around where we found him. I hope they handle his loss okay.

Nope, Oscar is doing well! Although he still has the nickname of "Oscar the Grouch".

Adam and I did adopt a new family member on Sunday from the Humane Society. Meet Murray - a 4 month old little kitten. Otis (Roush's brother) was instantly glued to his side and certainly acts like his "big brother".

sorry to hear that.alotta people down talk cats but untill you own one you cant appreciate how close you can get to one.I also had a cat die suddenly of a heart condition,was very sad because i had to wittness the 3 hour event.Even had to cancel the house party(was durring highschool)..I hope the other cat take it ok..
