I dunno the RX7 just seems like more bang for the buck. Plus those stripes look odd.

Yes I actually bought this one. Will pick it up on Saturday.
Found it on Corral and talked to the guy a few times and
seems like a decent person.
Yeah the stripes will go. Also have a guy that is a Carb Guru
that can straighten that out for me. But yeah I thought just turn up
the idle some.
I am in New Orleans, but from Milwaukee.

Im sure the stripes are to mock a saleen fox body and as for the cam its really not that big for a 351 i think its only like 480 or so on the lift and 280 duration not small just not huge idles just that low. Car looks clean as hell for an 85 and 4250 is frickin deal especially with the 351 done up.

I have already been looking at swaping over to a roller cam.
Would I need to change the valve springs too?
And there any way to get an idea on valve clearance without taking off the heads ?

Yes you will most likely need to swap springs, you need to have proper spring pressures. You can check valve clearance with a dial indicator and a degree wheel but you will most likely pull the heads to swap cams anyway.

I am pretty sure that with the 351w you can change cams without pulling the heads. 5.0 you can't pull the lifters out without the heads off..

I always thought about building a Vega. When I was in Los Angeles for a couple years in the mid 90's. Managed a Supershops. Vegas were cheap. Heck most late 60's Muscle and pony cars could be had for a song. Now they are gold, well to some people they are.
Heck I bought a clean 70' Camaro when I was out there. The guys kid was in Australia surfing and needed cash. I paid $900 for it. It was just a 2bbl 350 but it had new hounds tooth interior and was super clean without a dent on it. Now that car would be $5-$6k easy.
Wish I would have been able to keep all the clean cars I had 20yrs ago. Be rolling in cash right now.
By the way couldn't pick up the car this weekend, flying up to Nashville next friday and driving it back to N.O.
