So I recently purchased a 46" samsung lcd. Like my other tv it had these wandering lines that started at the bottom and worked there way up. this also effected my basement tv. Nothing major or extremely noticeable but I can see it when the shades or background are just right. If you turn the microwave on it does seem to get worse. Is this an electrical line problem or just crap in the air? Any ideas?

Did you try a line regulator? Sounds like you have some dirty power. I assume the tv's do it on any input (cable, blueray, games, ect)?

Sounds like ground noise. Get one of those grey plugs that converts a three prong into a two prong plug. They are about .75 at hardware stores. Plug that into the wall and then plug the tv into that. If that makes it go away you have ground issues. You can get power bars with ground isolation that still protect your tv. Furman and Isobar even Monster power have some. I have a Furman Elite at my place. Makes HD look like hhdd.
