If it's trucks you're looking for try lenzauto.com they primarily deal with trucks and have a big inventory

Used diesel trucks can be hard to find. Did you try Badger/Sterling off of ST Paul?

Yes they are! Now throw in low mileage, and A-1 condition. I have tried Badger.

lenz would be the top choice for finding you something just because of their specialization. i know you were there, so figure like the others said, just do a 75 mile search for it on cars.com or carsoup.com or autotrader.com

have you tried finding any ford specific forums for the diesels?

The problem with Lenz is that they are in Farm country, and most of the trucks are in farm condition. I am in no hurry, I may just drive out of state to get what I want if nothing locally comes up.

Can't do it, it is re-sale suicide! I did like it though.

I really don't want a 6.4 powerstroke, which is 2008-2009. Looking more for a nice 6.0 (Yeah I know) with low mileage, that only pulled the occasional camper or something.

There are a few trucks I have found, but all are 250+ miles away. It is hard for me to trust someones condition report enough to go real far. Been burned way too many times before. I need 50 pictures before I would make a trip.

I don't think we're talking about the same Lenz Auto..

Are you sure you're talking about the one in Fond Du Lac that sold over 2400 trucks last year around the country?

The one with some of the nicest trucks I've seen...

Also, searching carsoup is a waste of time, they're the smallest of the sites listed, 99.99% of all the cars on there will either be found on Autotrader or Cars.com.

Yep. They had slim pickings for what I am looking for. The one truck I was interested in had signs of pulling some serious weight in it's lifetime. I will keep checking their site.

Ah. Yeah, diesels are hard to come by lately. If anyone's going to have it though they would, or EVS Ford. Both of them specialize in Diesel trucks, EVS more Ford Diesel...

Lenz had some nice trucks, but if you want another option, just south of Beloit,
WI. (45 min ride from Milwaukee) is Autoland Outlets, Inc. 13156 LOVE RD. Roscoe, IL 61010 (right on I-39/90 north of the toll booth). They mostly deal in trucks and some are from the south.

Like you, I was being picky and took the drive to both Lenz and Auto Land. Spent time with the trucks and looked them over good. Some are real nice and at a fair listing price. Both have decent web sites to pre-look.
Just my 2 cents worth.

If you mean when they exersize after shutting off, no its normal.

Im bias, worked on them at Lakeside IH and at Badger, all the v-8's have downsides and they all share crappy milage.

We have some nice 6.0's at the Hwy 100 location as well, come in the lot next time thru and we will pull lot numbers up for history.

So you would have no problem buying a lower mileage 05-07 6.0?

Nope, there are things to look at when you find one and Im always available to veiw it.
I'll look thru our lot as well when back at work tuesday, grab some milage and $ figures.

I would add a better fuel/water filter imediately, an accesable frame mount system.

Ok, thanks for the help. If I bring a truck to you to look at, I will gladly pay you in paper or liquid! :thumbsup

I found a 2007 F350 cc sb Fx4 with 33k miles on it I may go look at tomorrow.

Would you look at a private owner? There is a nice looking red one on Racine Ave south of Muskego. Standard cab. I believe the chalk on the window said 7.1 Diesel. I didn't stop to look in detail as I'm not in the market. I can if you want. (It was at the end of a driveway to a farm.

The truck on Racine Ave. is only A1 on one side. he back side you can't see from the road has a large dent towards the rear and there is rust around the LR wheelweel. It's a 7.3 liter diesel F-350 with 126K miles.

Scratch that one off your list. :)
