So, along with the recently released 2011 Dodge Durango (click for info) (http://brewcitymuscle.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48176), they've announced three new/significantly upgraded new cars today:

2011 Jeep Patriot has the smallest changes:

Jeep gets the revamped interior, styling updates (small changes to the front grille/fascia that make it look quite a bit better), as well as powertrain changes (no what though) to improve both performance and economy.

Chrysler 200 is the refresh of the Sebring...redoing the exterior/interior, revamping the ride, and upgraded base 2.4 w/ available 6 speed auto (a 4 speed is still base), and upgraded 283hp V6 w/ 6 speed auto. Expect the current sebrings proportions to carry over, it's just more tastefully carried out...and the powertrain will also carry over to the upcoming 2011 avenger...

2011 Chrysler Town & Country...again, new 283hp v6, six speed auto, 17/25 fuel econo rating, improved ride/NVH, and new styling exterior and significantly revamped interior

Given the new styling of the Toyota and Honda offerings, and if the ride/drive have improved enough along with the strong performance of the new v6, the chrysler minivans might be poised to reclaim the top spots as far as mag favorites again...

Really? I think these are vast improvements over the current offerings. Although we can't see much of the 200, it looks very European to me. The tail lights/head lights remind me of the Jaguar XF.

I think the XF is pure sex, so if the profile of the 200 is good, it could be a very good looking car.

Then again, I drink tea and eat crumpets. :goof

I also think the 2011 Durango is a great looking SUV.

Yeah...the minivan is a minvan. How good could one look to any of us? That said, while I don't see the pictured minivan as being offensive, it's not much of a stretch to call either toyota's or honda's pretty offensive. Likewise, I think it's fairly obvious from the pic that perhaps the least pleasing aspect of the minivan, it's interior, is substantially upgraded. Performance, even the base model of the old one was pretty decent.

As far as the 200, I'll wait until I actually see one...don't see enough to form a strong opinion on it yet. All I know is, it can't be worse than what it was...fwiw, the avenger will look very similar to what it looks like now. But improving the 4 cylinder and now offering it with a 6 speed, as well as a new 283hp v6 (that's an improvement of 51 hp) as an option both qualify as good news for the fledgling chrysler midsizes.

I do wonder if both will retain AWD options...I hope.

As far as the patriot, I'm impressed with the small changes to the front...as well as an increase in ride hieght another inch, has created a much better looking model. The patriot wasn't horrid in my eyes to begin with...but it did look a little soft. Now it looks more substantial and more fitting with a jeep...it looks more like the cherokee sucessor than the actual sucessor, the Jeep Liberty.

I hear the compass is next on the revamp release...should come out looking like a mini 99-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee...

Yes, you are posting pictures of the 200C, which was a RWD show-car from last show season.

This simply the 200; which was either going to be named "nassau" for a while, and then it was seemingly settled that it'd stay "sebring"...that they were able to hide the name change up till it's release is impressive.

So the current 200 will be the sebring with styling cues from the 200C show car...a good rendering can be seen here...but keep in mind, this is only a rendering:

http://brewcitymuscle.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=7123&stc=1&d=1284510523

There are no official pics of the new car yet...it'll probably be similar to the durango in which close-ups were released a week or so before the full pics were. How much like this it will look remains to be seen though...they aren't starting from the best of places with the current sebring, lol. I DOUBT it'll look as sexy as the jag, lol...

I just want to know when the F I can get my Fiat 500.

According to this news release issued yesterday as well, very soon...though it didn't give a specific date:

The Fiat 500 Sport – Arriving Soon to America
Chrysler Media (http://media.chrysler.com/newsrelease.do?id=10007&mid=2)

September 14, 2010 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - The reborn and reimagined Fiat 500 is arriving soon to America. Born in Italy, perfectly tailored for America, the Cinquecento is as vibrant and engaging as it is fit and nimble. The Sport model, featured in these images, illustrates Fiat’s smart and stylish design aesthetic. Like the original Fiat 500 a half-century ago, the new Cinquecento continues its timeless value while embracing individual expression and opportunity – all infused with world-class craftsmanship.

The Cinquecento offers unique adaptations for the North American market and is designed for individuals who demand that style and fashion can coexist with practicality and functionality. Matching its sport-tuned suspension, the Fiat 500 Sport features athletically styled front and rear fascias with a larger grille and flared aerodynamic treatment. Between its unique 16-inch aluminum wheels with Mineral Gray painted pockets, the Cinquecento incorporates new body-side sill cladding for an enhanced sport appearance.

Completing this athletic vehicle's appearance are Performance Red painted brake calipers, a chromed exhaust tip and gloss black shadow-line window trim. The Fiat 500 Sport also features an available SkyDome power sun roof for an ultra-open view of the world. The Fiat 500 will be also available in the Pop and Lounge models with unique exterior cues and different equipment options.

The world-class 1.4-liter engine with Fiat’s state-of-the-art MultiAir™ technology powers the Fiat 500 Sport. MultiAir significantly reduces emissions while improving fuel economy and power delivery by up to 10 percent when compared to similar engines.

The Fiat 500’s technology, driving dynamics and interior features have been intelligently adapted for the North American market, and it will offer small-car buyers a stylish, high-value alternative. The all-new Fiat 500 will be available for ordering later this year in the Sport, Pop and Lounge models, followed by the all-new Fiat 500C (cabrio) in the spring of 2011.

I've seen the Fiat 500 on M14. They're little shitboxes, look smaller than an Aveo or Fit. Look about as enjoyable to drive as a Fortwo.
