So anyone interested. Im going with my truck, Mark(sparkyballz) is bring his lifted GMC 1500, and Brandon (Anakonda582) is bringing his s10 blazer. Might be a few others too but I don't know yet. So this give everyone a week and a half to decide if they wanna go or not. I thinking if nothing else this will be a fun time and a chance for me to learn how the track works before I try bring my car down there.

Thats what I though, just wasn't sure.

Well based on what you said your results were so far with that thing I think your going to be faster than my truck and the other 3 coming with me. I think with the lift and all Mark will be lucky to dip into the 18s, but who cares the truck is huge and could drive over most of the stuff at the track, lol. Brandons truck is just a little slower than mine, and I will be more than happy to get low 16s out of my truck, even though it would be nice to see something more in the 15s. Either way like I said I think its going to be fun and a good learning experince for me.

HAHAHA it might fit! :stare You could easily squeeze a V8 of sorts into it, the engine compartment is identical to that of a trailblazer and some of the come with the 5.3 V8.

Now how to package all that intercooler tubing :confused LOL

Id have to use the 4l80E trans behind it though, being its gotta 4L60E in it now so the transfer case would bolt up yet.

I dont know how well that would settle with a hopped up Duramax... The D-max might break one off in the 4L80E's ass :rolf

Kinda sounds like my idea. Somewhere around 200k miles or so when the 305 gets old, I want to get a Vortec 454 from a 96-99 ish truck get it all hopped up and drop it in my truck, so that it looks like a factory setup. Now that would haul some ass. Im only at 148k now so I got 50k ish to figure all that out, lol.

Well I got my truck back together, tb spacer on, just gotta put the corvette servo in yet, then Im ready for wed.

You guys think I will get better traction with the bald tires from the burnouts or my normal tires? lol I know it sounds dumb but the bald ones grip really good when I launch on the street, just as long as its not wet. :3gears:

Anyways, I just wanted to post to get this back on top, hopefully we can get a few more people to go with.

Hey you guys know that summit actualy sells different colored oils for filters right? I think it would work on the K&N or any other filter of that type. So far they have Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Clear, and Turquoise. Not bad only $10 which is about what the K&N cleaner/oil kit costs.

Colored air filters aren't nearly as bad as the scented adder that you put in your fuel so the exhaust smells like grape, or strawberries or something. Now that stuff is :sgay

I agree, just come out for the fun of it, If Mark is willing to run his big POS, nobody should be worried about being embarrased by their time. Oh well, Im still going, unless its pourin rain.

Well according to the Radar on the weather channel's web page this storm could pass by about 4 or 5, and then its a little bit of scattered stuff here and there. Would that track even open if its just wet out or will it just be closed no matter what because of the rain today?

PonyKiller87
07-21-2004, 05:08 PM
Just got off the phone and GLD is CLOSED, so the BCM truck night will have to wait till another day. To bad too, being that its actualy turning out to be a pretty nice night.
