end with the best so... 123456. He made the last ones first because the technology they had in the 70's wasn't good enough to make the movie the way he wanted it.

/\ I agree but I almost think to get the full feel of the story go in the ORIGINAL order...456 then 123. but then again, I have seen the series so many damm times its not even funny anymore.

kinda off topic, but isn't there supposed to be 3 more?

123 have better visuals, 456 have better story. Therefore, 123456.

I had always thought that the story had originally came as 456 not because he felt he couldn't do 123 any justice...but that while 456 was imagined first, and could well have been a 123, Lucas felt an important story laid before 456...so he simply started a "4" to leave a prequel to be imagined later...

...and yes, per cannon, there is a 789 iirc. I recalled that Lucas wanted to set about making the last three...but lost the energy and desire, in part because of the relatively lukewarm reception to 123.

In my opinion, watch 456 and never ever think about 123...it muddies up the story, and takes away some of the mysteriousness of characters in 456. Lucas should really consider re-doing 123 again...

Saw the very first one the day it came out, dont think I have ever watched any of the following all the way thru...still find myself watching the first one when I stumble on it cruising channels. First one first I suggest.

Ah, could be. I thought I heard the other story on a TV special or something.

Holy shit! Now I know I'm old, how does someone go through life not watching the original trilogy? My suggestion is watch is 456, then 123. It will build the suspense a bit.

I agree with order they came out. I think there's more "oh ok I see" moments that way.

Yes but he has said he's not going to make them, he's too old and basically retired lol. Until he decides he needs a few billion more dollars and changes his tune, or one of his relatives sells the rights the minute he's dead.

In the meantime there's a shitload of books, comics, even video games that tell other parts of the story/history.

Wow, I didn't think there was a person alive in the United States that hasn't seen Star Wars at least a few times.

Don't forget the Ewok one, it's cheesy but cute for kids.

Be interesting to see what someone thinks of the original trilogy based solely on the fx then compared to now. I would imagine most people would be down on the movies just cause of how outdated they look.

I think most people are fans of Star Wars cause they were kids when the original movies came out.

I must be the only person in the world that never cared for any of the Star Wars movies. Nothing sci-fi ever appealed to me. I think I might have saw the phantom menace but didn't care for it.

Never seen Starters? Don't they export people out of the US for never seeing the original 3 (4,5,&6)? I'd keep quit about til you watch them so homeland security doesn't catch wind.
