Nagel Autobody
Annual Dyno Challenge

- Friday 9/17: 1:00PM - 8:00PM

- Saturday 9/18: 9:00AM - 8:00PM

- Sunday 9/19: 10:00AM - 5:00 PM

It is a great time to enjoy the cars and maybe put your car on the Dyno to find out how much power you really have.

The event runs rain or shine, if it rains we move the Dyno indoors.

Is this going to be a 2WD or AWD dyno? If AWD, I am down. I need a good datalog of the tune on the car right now so I can adjust it.

2WD DYNO,

Tim where is the closest AWD dyno? Is there a lot of interest for AWD dynoing in the waukesha area?

There is always interest for AWD in this area; the closest AWD dynos with experienced tuners would be:
Beyond Redline Performance - Green Bay, WI - DynoJet AWD
Automotosports (AMS) - West Chicago, IL - DynoJet AWD
P&L Motorsports - Franklin Park, IL - DynoJet AWD
Boomba Racing - Shaumburg, IL - Mustang AWD

DoneRite Automotive in Mosinee did the AWD tune on my Denali. Ed is a great guy with some Grade A equipment and a hard to find combination of hands on knowledge plus engineering background. It was worth the $$ and the drive for me. It's a fair drive from Milwaukee, but if you're on the northwest side or have any reason to spend time in the Wausau area it might make sense.

You ever run that Denali and see how well it goes? Curious being mine was street tuned and runs quite well. Hopefully I'll get it on a dyno soon

Hope we're not hijacking the thread, but...
Never had it on the 1/4, but my zero to 60 times as measured by HPTners showed about 1.1 sec improvement with the following...

Before: stock tune, 2.5" leveling kit, metric equivalent of 33x12.5 tires on stock 20's, AirAid tube with K&N filter in stock box, Corsa sport cat back

After: Same as above but added DoneRite tune and American Racing long tube headers.

The headers really helped perk things up, but I think a lot of the 0-60 came from trans tuning. The amount of torque management gave some stupidly lethargic shifts. I'll post a separate thread when I get home with some more info in it.

ran the diesel today, couldn't get it to load up on the dyno tried everything we could think of. still ended up with low numbers, got one descent pull where it didn't downshift but was in the wrong gear. oh well learning experience
