Talk about having a really bad day! I ran across this on another board. It was said that this guy was working on his car and went in the house. He heard a loud noise and found this....

On the up side I guess he is lucky he wasn't under the car at the time. :stare

Yeah looks like the type where a cable is what operates the other side, and he must have lost the cable or coupler or whatever... Wierd, since there is also usually a ratcheting type saftey thing on each side so it can't go down unless you release it.

That is scary, they should sue the shit out of that lift company.

I call fake! No broken glass and no windshield pillars.

When working at old Slocum Pontiac as a lube tech I had a 90's Grand Am fall off the lift. Well sort of. I just removed the drain plug, walked from under the car and I heard a loud noise and somebody yell "move" One of the arms failed (I always hated that lift) and the car teetered forward. Thankfully the oil drain bucket thing kept the car up enough for us to get a couple screw jacks on the side.

With some jagging around we safely got the car down. Scared the living shit out of me though.

Sucks if that really happen. But IMO I thinks it's fake. With more of the weight of the car being in the front it would have caused more damage to the front. The fender would be smashed and it looks too perfect. Also I agree on the windshield. It looks off like too small but I do see it. Just over all doesn't add up. If that happen to me i would have more than one pic Need more pics. Like I said sucks if it really happen.

thats what happens when you dont use the prescribe safety measures that come with a hoist

The windshield should come out to the rib on the top of the fender. The hood is about a foot narrower than the windshield. From this angle you would be able to see 6 or 8 inches of the windshield.

^ So are you +4 on being fake? IMO Photoshop is playing a role in this story.

This is an old story with more pics out there....it's not a fake. I want to say I saw this the first time back in spring or winter of last year. No idea what board or site though, but I'm sure it's out there with the help of the google machine.

The Google machine shows threads with the dozen or so removed pictures. Now I believe it must be real. :wow

Sucks even more now that I know it's 100%real. Looks like it was a nice camaro. Don't understand how the lift broke. Most have the safety locks.
