A friend of mine has a 1989 Camry that he is probably going to be selling soon. It has the typical body rust around the fenders and rockers for those cars. Interior is very clean and it runs top notch. Miles are higher IIRC, 150k or 180k. My friend is super anal about fixing any problems even if it is a beater so I wouldn't hesitate recommending a car from him. He works for Safro and service has been done by their techs since he has owned it. When looking at beaters in the 1k range you can't ask for a better person to buy one from. Most people ignore the little problems, this guy doesn't. The only thing he hasn't fixed is the A/C. I think he's wanting to get over $1k but less than $1500. we have a 2000 Altima sitting at work.I think the boss was trying to unload it for $1k as it sits.Needs a rear wheel bearing and rear struts, but we drive it to lunch all the time and its ready for the road as it sits.Power everything, tires would get you through till next summer.
