Do any o the Time Warner employees have any info on if this will happen?

I've read some articles and I can't really see it happening, espically with monday night football around the corner.

They go through this all the time with different networks. Every time at the last min they come to a deal. If they lost ESPN they would loose far too many customers. No way it will happen.

I agree. If they lost such a major sports network like ESPN they may as well just close up shop. There will be ALOT of people switching carriers if that happens.

I'm kind of suprised that TW hasn't picked up the NFL Network. I thought they would have by now. That channel is usless though. The commentators suck and they only have a handfull of games a year.

I can't see them standing by and not coming to some sort of agreement or at the very least an extension on their current one for a temporary amount of time.

All I'm saying is it would totally suck IF they lost ESPN. What else sucks is that your cable bill will most likley go up a slight amount cause' of the new contract.

The way I have understood it is they have until Sept. 2nd to come to an agreement.

No inside word at all, just another negotiation that all TV service providers go through... I personally highly doubt that TW going to let ESPN go off air, but at the same time their not going to give in to some insane price increase that in the end would only affect subscribers...

Its doubtful they'll lose ESPN...

All providers go through this, including U-Verse, Dish, & DirecTV...

Get ATT U-Verse....

Hell I'd switch if ATT had U-verse by me. I'm in New Berlin for crying out loud. How do they not have service here?

I'd want to leave TW if they didn't have ESPN and I'm not even THAT big of a sports person. But no MNF would be garbage.

About the only time I watch espn is if they have drag racing on and I happen to catch it on the guide.

eh, most of the packer games are on Fox anyway, and for anything I would REALLY want to see the pub up the street has a dish.

Do any of you TW customer still have HDNET? I'm a TW customer and for some reason it's gone and been gone for a long time, I don't watch espn much (4-6 hours a week) but if it goes TW is gone from my house, cable and internet.

I don't know what's going on at Time Warner the last few years. I've been a loyal customer and defender of theirs for decades, including on this site when posts have come up. However they recently screwed me several times customer service wise, too long of stories to post from my phone, and I have suffered major price creep over the years. I finally switched to direct tv recently it is literally under half the price around $60 versus $120 for the first year and 75% of the price $90 or so after that for a comparable or even better package. Quality so far is just as good as well.
