I know this is a long shot, but I am in desperate need of a large mower with a bagger. I have approx. 2 acres of grass that I have been mowing at my new house, but there is too much grass and I need to remove it. The previous owner hadn't cut the grass in almost a year, and I have been getting it cleaned up week by week. The grass is starting to look decent, but the large amount of cut grass is killing off the lawn.
I am looking at buying a larger tractor (I have a 48" walk-behind now) but I need something to use/borrow/rent NOW.
Minimum of 48" mower with bagger, 52" or 60" would be perfect.
Anyone????

And No i'm not gonna rake 2+ acres, so dont be a smart-ass. :)

Also, anyone work at a power equipment dealer that has some decent used equipment?

No idea, Matt (Memphis) might know or can steer you in the right direction. He is the lawnmower man.....:thumbsup

Rent a lawn sweeper, a cheap alternative to a new mower. Part II. Wait until about the middle of November and then shop for a mower, places will be trying to make room for snowblowers and will have good deals on stuff. RM small engine repair in Fort Atkinson has some great deals on used stuff all the time, also have new stuff at reasonable prices.

Good call, Matt might know of something out there.

Ive thought about sweeping, but some of the grass is heavy, sweeper couldnt handle it. plus i dont have anything to pull the sweeper. :)

I have a gas powered lawn Vacuum. Couple issues though is its not self propelled and the bag gets really heavy as it fills with grass. That and I probably wouldn't be available to meet you to pick it up until Sunday. I work afternoons and I keep it at my grandparents... But you can use it if you want. I have no way to move it so you would have to pick it up and bring it back.

Shoot me a PM if your interested.

Can't you buy a bagger for yours?
Pretty sure every 48" walk behind has a bagger available, as well as almost every riding mower that's been made for the last 20yrs.

you can buy a pull behind lawn sweeper from farm and fleet for 2-3 hundred bucks.. depending on the size you get.

I can, but baggers for walkbehinds are very small. plus I have every intention of buying a bigger mower in the future, so I dont want to spend any cash on this one.

Can't you rent a bagger for your walk behind? Can't you rake it? Can't you use a tarp? :rolf:rolf:stare

ah didn't know it was a walk behind. the pull behind lawn sweepers work on atv's as well if you have one of those... or access to one.

i think its time for a rider :)

where is the property located?
