I had a Camaro I thought was pretty quick, but one night I got absolutely smoked by a white '69 GS. The owner claimed it was stock, but the chrome ladder bars made me skeptical. Anyone know anything about the GS?

Yep!
I am not in my 50s yet, so check your math skills!!
I was there with my brown 1969 Boss 302 Mustang, an orange 1969 ss350 camaro w/ black vinyl, a dk. blue 1967 rs/ss396 camaro(both my bro-in-laws cars) or with Junior in his Yellow 1971 Torino Cobra. In 1980-81 I had a silver 1971 Mach.
Or you could have caught me at Whitnall Park on Saturdays!!
Those were the days!:thumbsup

In the late 60s and some of 1970, 71, 72. I don't remember the white Buick but a former boyfriend of one of my sisters had a blue 68 GS ragtop that was awesomely quick. If the car was a stage three, it could smoke other cars easily.

My dad used to cruise there back in the day in his '70 Corvette Lt1. Even got rear ended in it while out there. Had a tough time trying to hide that one from his parents!

When 93.3 QFM was axed `94-ish a friend of mine was given hundreds of bumper stickers headed for the dumpster. We had nothing better to do one night and covered his entire `85 Olds 98 with them. His parents were NOT happy with the new 'exterior color', ah the good ol' days.....:rolf
