A 51-year-old Iowa man is dead after his Harley-Davidson struck a cow standing in the road in Lyon County in northwestern Iowa.
The Iowa State Patrol reports that 51-year-old Theodore Ray Smith, of George, Iowa, struck the animal about 11:30 p.m. Saturday while riding on county road L22.
