Andys car was only tire smoke. Tires are rubbing front and rear of the rear quarters on the big end! Someone said he oild the track down, but he actually got SENT DOWN a oiled down track! The car that went down before him left oil all the way down the track n then up the return road also! Talk about sketchy, and some what lucky!

OK good! That's good news then.

Definitely sucks about the oil down from previous car. That could have gotten very out of hand.

Ron like I mentioned at the track. It was awesome to see the Bu out again, and nice to see you get a chance to drive your own stuff for once... Not to mention the fact that the car was working great!

Ron, Andy, Jim, I clipped your launches and put them in slow motion so that you can check out the chassis and suspension movement so you can get an idea of what it is doing. Jim after looking at yours it looks like the car can take a faster ramp, we just need to control the front end a little more right off the brake.

awesome slow-mo murray. how can i slow them down like that from the flip hd?

If you want you can just send me the video or I can probably DL the video and then slow mo a certain section for you and give it back.

Otherwise, when I get a chance I'll have to walk you through it. As video editting can be kind of annoying to say the least.

Basic premise is this:

I use VirtualDub to manually modify the frame rate as well as clip only the part of the video that you want (the launch).

So the act of slowing the framerate down is the what does the slow mo. Say your flip shoots 60 fps, that means it will take 60 little pictures per second. When you play that back normally every 1 sixtyth of a second it will change to a new picture/frame. So when I change the framerate like I did to 5fps, that means it will keep all of the original frames but instead of changing every 60th of a second it will change every 5th of a second and so you can see each frame with the human eye for a longer period.

Okay so if you use virtual dub and basically just set the framerate down, you are done. The hard part sometimes can be getting VirtualDub to recognize the video. We may need to download some codec engines and even use AviSynth to act as a frame server.. and it gets kind of complicated so I'd be better off just showing you how on a PC... or maybe recording a webinar or something.

Once you get everything into something like VirtualDub (or AviSynth) you can do some really cool stuff and you can see every single frame, rotate the video, do video overlays, filters, etc. etc.

The tools I talked about / I am using:
VirtualDub (http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/) is free
AviSynth (http://sourceforge.net/projects/avisynth2/) is free
ffdshow (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow/) codec suite is free

:):):) :thumbsup
