There is a guy based out of the downtown area, used and new glass, at his place or mobile he runs ad's on craigslist and the journal now and again. Under $100 for my wifes minivan window installed, quick and clean install using 3m durathane.

Russ I think you may be thinking of Tom Nielson, a friend referred to me to him and I have had him come and put windscreens in 2 cars and wow what a fabulous guy.
He must have a heckuva hook up on new glass and must sell it for cost and is so reasonable on the labor. Prompt and clean too I was very impressed.
I think I paid $200 for a 95 F150 and 99 Regal windscreens, New Pilkington glass.

I used to work with Flanders at auto hack specialists and I went to school with Greg and Flanders for years! Small world

Just so everyone knows it is against standards to install a used windshield or back glass if it was aftermarket. The main problem with that is the w/s is such a structural part of the vehicle that if it installed used, there is no guarantee that the urethane that was used on install may not adhere properly to the new stuff. Most urethanes are made to be compatible with factory urethanes, but not to other brands. Meaning if you get into an accident with an improperly installed windshield, The glass may pop out of the car or allow part of the pinchweld to collapse into the car and do some physical harm or kill occupants. Just my 2 cents there.

And I work at Abra Autobody and Glass. Everything we do is to factory spec's or better and comes with a Full Lifetime warranty. 414-257-9965 7am-5pm tell them Larry sent you

He hooked me up. He goes the extra mile to do it correct, and was the cheapest I found.
