Just saw this on the news. They showed a video of Jack walking out of the plane with a really bloody face.

They did say that a lady had suffered some serious injuries but they made it sound like none were life threatening.

He is really burning through his 9 lives with the airplanes. Didn't he get pulled out of a pond a few years ago after his plane went in?

Lol, read the comments?

Immediately after hearing of the incident, Carol Shelby crashed his own plane purposefully and proceeded to sue Roush for copyright infringement.

Yeesh...I've flown to oshkosh airport...but I'd never ever want to fly into EAA. Glad he's OK.

I've had to do more than my share of go-arounds, but it's much harder in a jet...w/ a piston engine, power comes on strong immediately. But jet's take a bit to spool up and make enough power to climb out, so it's easy to be a little too aggressive trying to pitch up. Best to decide very early when a go-around is necessary regardless of ones engine...it seems likely he decided too late.

Well this sucks. Glad he's ok.

Now that he's ok, glad he wasn't flying one of his Mustangs. I'll be at EAA sometime this weekend. Can't wait!

Not only that, but you get immediate airflow over the control surfaces. I'm curious if his plane was not balanced correctly.

I don't know Jack personally, but I am friends with his brother Jim. I wonder if that was why I was getting a call from the shop earlier today....hmmmm.

Hope he is alright, and heals up nicely.

he put his first p51 mustang into a lake and if it werent for a local marine that lived there and saw him go in and saved him he would have drowned. Unreal!!!!
