Today i got a call from Bill Lutz and the check is in his hands. all my expenses were paid from True street and my $10400 hel cop ride was covered by my health insurance. i went back and forth about rebuilding it but not knowing for sure what was hurt im taking the check for 50k. Im feeling 99% better health wise and 100% better knowing this was not a scam. ill be back not sure with what but some cool car anyway. tomorrow after the check is in my hands ill post my 7 sec pass along with the crash video. im looking at this as one door was closed and another will be opened. :headbang

Good news Mark! :thumbsup

Of course, the most important thing here is your health... But the money is icing on the cake!

Good news Mark. Just think, not that long ago there was no such thing as on the track insurance.

Good news Mark. Just think, not that long ago there was no such thing as on the the track insurance.

i found the insurance ad in a dragsters mag. i called them and felt them out. it sounded to good to be true but i could not find anythng about it that sounded fishy. it was not cheap at the time it was $1800 for a year with a $1000 deduct. knowing my car was always on the rag edge i thought it might not be a bad idea. i also payed extra to Have a $20000 check given to any car i hit at the track. i guess if you never thought you would wreck you would not have all the safety gear needed. shit last year i wanted to light a match to it at the end of the track and run away screaming run (nos) it going to blow:rolf:rolfits still a hard loss i had many good and bad years with the car. even the last race was full of ups and downs. this racing stuff could kill you many ways:fire

I am gladthat everything worked out for you. It will be sad not seeing that car rip up the 1320 any more, however I know that what ever you get will be better than what you have. I know that it was a tough decision for you, and through out our conversations how close you were to thinking about being a mad scientist and rebuilding it. You (as well as the rest of us who know what you went through with that car) have the memories, and if you ever really miss it, you always have the vid, pics, and that awesome dicast car lol. Looking forward to seeing what you get next buddy!

Nothing can ever replace you. It's almost silly even saying that cause you know. The car and memories will be missed but the love will be rekindled in building another one. Just take your time and wait for that right project to grab you. Maybe in the end its a whole different platform you run....... who knows?

That is great news Mark! We are happy that you are OK from such a crash, and that the race insurance worked out to be a legit thing that actually was worth the cost. I might have to look into that insurance for next year.

See you down the road!
