Took a cruise up by Brian today so my brother could pick up his new AR10. He got a DPMS LR-308 with SS barrel.

Once again great service from Cooper's Armament!!! Lunch service and all!! Even got to break it in at the range!!

Pics!

308 kicks ass, the 6.5 creed only cuz I like killing rodents at extremely long ranges, slightly tighter groups when pushing the envelope with the boat tail hornady projectiles. For an all around medium caliber the 308 is king for a reason, killed my share of chipmuks with 308s and exploding crows look like a tickertape parade with a 308.

Pedophiles dont matter, a 30cal class bullet does the job, I just want to here the freak scream and cry as we section him up scientificaly with the 6.5 lazer round :)

Hey Russ, have you checked out the .260 Remington? It's basically a .308 (meaning LOTS of brass available) necked down to 6.5mm. It's VERY similar to a 6.5 x .284 (within 100ftps) without the hassles (more powder, more recoil, pricier brass) and it will shoot out of anything that shoots a .308 without changing anything more than the barrel. Less recoil than the .308 and better down range ballistics. It should do a little better than the Creedmoor and be a tad easier on the wallet, as well.

Hey Russ, have you checked out the .260 Remington? .

Love the 260, having a Creedmore gives me an excuse to buy a Tubb 2000 one day if I get all the reloading supplies to support the habbit :)

I've owned so many guns I've never kept very long I think the Tubb would be "the last gun" I would ever own. 500yrd squirels, 1000yrd targets and the baddest gun in deer camp! I always manage to sell my most consistent guns, the Tubb is a work of art I would keep forever...
