I took my dad down to the track to give him his first chance to drive down the quarter mile...he had a stupid grin the rest of the night. He got in 5 runs, I got 4.

How'd the lil red do? I thought she was under the blade?It still is...with me going to TX, then parents coming here, I haven't had much time.

We raced with my dad's, and now my, 2001 Jeep GC w/ 4.7.

It didn't do so well...it's weird. Years ago, it'd go mid to lowish 15's. Now, best I got was a 16.4 now that it's got 210,000 miles on it. It felt fine and strong, but just didn't want to go much above 4G. Otherwise, it runs great.

My friends 03 Dakota with a 4.7 5speed only ran a 16.01 with no 3rd cat, fan clutch removed, 180 t-stat.......

oh, break fluid on a clutch disc.... ya, not good math.

14.5 @ 102 was cool though, with a 1.9 60' to boot.
oh well, at the very least it gives me reason to rip the engine and trans out for the swap...

Yeah, it was funny in that there were some cars running slower than what I would have expected...when we first got there, we beat a nice looking Chevelle two times in a row. Not sure of what engine it's got...my guess was probably a 307/powerglide combo or something along the lo-po lines.

Last I saw was 13.3-13.4ish.... might have been faster, but thats what I remember seeing it run.
