Alright, not mine, hahah. I'm a student now, I can't afford anymore new toys.

My dad just traded his Buell 1125R for this. The buell was bought new in '08 and had 400 miles on it. He was so pissed at buell for a couple reason, so he just gave up riding it. Anyways, already has over 200 miles on this thing.

2009 ZX-10R

This thing is amazingly light. Handles REALLY well. I put maybe 50 miles on it last weekend. Went for a ride with him and my mom and he took his HD Ultra Classic out. I think this thing handles better and is easier to ride then my old ' 06 GSX-R600. Power delivery is still smooth and it's not overly powerful. Just need to help him set up the suspension for his weight. Hell, he's been riding it to work as well.

These things are dirt cheap too. Got a hell of a deal in my opinion. So much fun.

How cheap is dirt cheap if you don't mind me asking? I'm going to be in the market again soon...but I've never been a huge fan of kawi's.

In the chicago area you can find brand new left over models for 6999-7500.

yep, the leftover '08's are right around that mark(under 7). They still had '08's left, but he rather spend a bit extra for a year newer I guess even though they are the same things. I believe his was $7600 including the setup/freight fees, and then he got $4600 for his buell.

There's still a ton of leftover CBR1000's too for 08 model year. But the Kawi's are cheaper.

Dave, the beemer is fucking sweet. Handle damn good for a "big" car.

Could you send me a PM with the dealer he went to? Interested in taking a look at some leftovers.

I don't know if that's where he got his but if you're interested might be worth taking a look. Some really good deals for brand new liter bikes!!!

Yep, Don & Roys. He just spent that little extra for the '09, but they still has plenty of '08's left

so your old man has a HD ultra classic & a zx10? talk about going from one extreme to the other lol

how did your dad like the 1125r? other then being pissed at buell, how did he like the bike itself?

he liked it for his first sportbike, but he had a couple issues that forced him to quit riding it. we got those fixed at the dealer, and I drove it home, but i don't think he ever rode it after that. winter came and he's kind of a hardass when it comes to things, so again, the whole buell thing really made him not ride it, haha.

but the problem is, now that he hopped on this kawi, he literally thinks that the buell was a piece of shit. loud, rough, and handled like crap are words he spoke now that he's got the kawi all figured out.

definitely one extreme to another though, i'll agree with that, haha
