Traded this for my Trans Am this last weekend. Its a 2003 Yamaha R1. I've has 3 600's and so far and i'm really liking it! Has 5900 miles and hardly a scratch on it, still on the original tires. I'm thinking some pilot power 2ct's and i'll be good to go. I really liked the pilot powers on my R6.

The gearing takes a bit of getting used to since it will do damn near 90 in 1st. It is very controllable in 2nd, crazy amount of pull from 4k on. On to a few pics, let me know what you think, not sure i'm crazy about the pipe and windscreen but they are kind of growing on me.

Yeah, you don't see these too often. Its a special edition for 03, factory paint and decals.

Nice bikes but careful with the transmissions. My 00 lost 2,3,4,and 5. I drove it around for a few months with 1st and 6th before I sold it. I dont know the year they fixed them but I know the early 00s had the issue.

I love the exhaust, but not sure about the windscreen. Nice choice though! I wanna get a liter bike next year and give the fiance the 600.

so any plans for it?

www.wera.com for some cheap road race type equipment that the racers are always wholesale pricing out.
