pinion bearing

well found a diff for a steal out of a 50k truck. now i checked the pinion thought i woulda checked this like weeks ago. the pinion bearing is bad how bad is it to do the pinion in the back of this truck its my 04 durmax 11.5 ring gear full floater axles do i have to worry about shimming and all that just for some bearings?

well great called the dealer so get part numbers so i can cross them at work since we don't list bearing for the 11.5 find its a crush sleeve type. i'm gana have fun trying to crush a new sleeve. whats the easiest way to go about doing this? once the sleeve is crushed am i done or do i back it off and retorque? i only want to put a new one in so i know its done right and i don't have to mess with it any more. getting the bearings tomarow and the sleeve thurs. hoping to have this bad boy back together this weekend.

got what was left of the bearings out tonight crappy cell pics to follow. the bearings where held together in one piece until i pulled it out to find the cage was busted and the bearings just fell out after that.
