I talked the wife into saddeling up for a bike ride on Saturday, looking to go somewhere far with decent roads and a great atmosphere. 2-3 hours away, fun and not terribly expensive, and obviously motorcycle friendly.

The town of Eagle seems to attract a lot of motorcycle people. Anywhere in the Kettle Moraine area is cool. Fox And Hounds perhaps?

Fox and hounds is like a 30 minute ride, I guess what I mean is somewhere that normally takes 2 to 3 hours to get there by freeway. We will be taking side roads, as many scenic roads as possible. I want to ride to the twin citiesb but she saays that's too far

I like to take hwy 67 south to IL. You can stop at knuckheads on the way. Great views, Good condition roads and lots of turns.

We just picked this book up at borders on 76th st. It has a bunch of ride ideas. My wife has it with her so I can't make any suggestions from it:rolf

Baraboo? The twisties by devils head are a blast - even the road that the driveway is off of FOR devils head ski resort twists up the bluff - great time.

Prairie Du Chen/ La Crosse. Take 18 out there, then take 35 north to La Cross. 35 between PDC and La Crosse is one of the prettiest rides in the state, follows along the Mississippi. And the La Crosse area has lots of nice riding.

I put together this little route this past winter, thinking it would be fun to do it this year. but not sure we will get around to it.

obviously you could stay around the holy hill more, or the devil's lake area some more.
I originally had it mapped out to take country roads from the Oconomowoc area out to Madison, but it made the trip alot longer. so if your feeling adventurous you could make it longer.

I know this isn't exactly what your looking for but it was something i did For me just thought i'd share.
