We are currently in our second year of our lease for an apt in Oak Creek. About six months ago there was a water main leak which resulted in our parking spot getting torn up. A few days later they filled the hole with gravel, but then it started sinking and is now a sink hole that has been unattended for about 6 months. Our parking spot is the only spot that is affected by the sink hole, and now my wife has to park her new car on the street where visitors park. Our lease states that we should receive one assigned parking spot. Do we have any legal options to make them move faster, or has anyone had a situation like this that they had resolved?
We have talked to them several times about getting the spot fixed, but have never gotten a straight answer. They have taken $20 off our rent, but my wife is pissed off about it so she is taking $25 off the rent every month.
Any ideas?
