I haven't followed it much, but is the Bucyrus issue the only reason he's going to Racine?

""President Obama has made clear his administration's commitment to transition away from high-carbon investments and toward a cleaner-energy future," Export-Import Bank Chairman Fred Hochberg said in a statement. "After careful deliberation, the Export-Import Bank board voted not to proceed with this project because of the projected adverse environmental impact.""

-woah! So they didn't judge the loan on the merits of the lendee's ability to repay, but simply as a political decision?

Also, this is for India! I thought Obama was all about the US "not going around, managing the affairs for other countries....". The people in India obviously think that a coal powered plant is what is best for them, in terms of cost of production, cost to build, and for what ever number of other reasons....but, per the directive of Obama to oversee the environment, nooooo, it doesn't fit our arbitrary criteria for cleanliness, so it doesn't matter if it's a half a globe away, we'll make an political decision to say no...

And who gives a shit that it affects US workers too? Not Obama! He's making sure the air I don't breathe is clean!!! Thank YOU Dear Leader!

Yeah Thank you X2! Not to mention that a 600 million dollar contract and 1,000 jobs were lost for Milwaukee.

Brilliant........................:confused

Wow. This would just be a sign of more things to come for Bucyrus then since mining equipment is their business. Who knew you could just mandate innovation and it would magically happen overnight.

Obama's administration causes the problem and now it looks like Feingold and Barrett are going to get the credit for bending Obama's ear to fix it... after which we'll all be told what white knights the two are, even though they share the same ideology that led to this in the first place.

Don't blame The President for your inability to adapt. Not his fault you've defeated yourself by limiting yourself to the one of the few mindless factory jobs left that pays an exorbitant wage.

Let's us all recount the horrible track record president Osama has for "helping/rallying" behind Dems since he has been in office (which has been too long). Hopefully he does some rallying, that way the liberal/Dem will surely lose...?;)

And don't belittle the people who chose a career in manufacturing, they make the car you drive and all the major appliances you use. Stew, yer an asshat for even saying this. You would just prefer your plastic and tin shell on your computer equipment be made overseas, don't ya? The point here is, we had an honest to goodness client willing to buy equipment from a US manufacturer and the Trade Bank just arbitrarily says no just to follow Obama's green agenda. India will just buy their mining equipment somewhere else (China, Russia, S. Korea?). That decision does nothing to improve a so-called carbon foot print or promote more green technology. I would have rather had the local company produce this, than another country. Just like Doyle's plan to have the rail cars and locomotives made in Spain for the train line from Milwaukee to Madison, when we had capable industry here.

Seriously. Might want to look into what Bucyrus builds. I wouldn't consider building machines of this scale mindless factory work.

He is a anti american fuck. Everything obama stands for will lead this country to its demise.
I mean really you job as a president is to take care for you people, make sure the country is succesful, anddefend the constitution all of those things he has fucking failed misrably to do. You have a bp who goes around calling citizens smart asses because they are saying exactly what americans want. If this pile of shit get elected again it will be soully based on race.
Not to mention its cheaper to have 1,000 people on unemployment . 388 a month for what 12 months times 1000 equals. 4,656,000.

IcePickFreak

It apparently isn't that exorbitant of a wage if they're getting the work in the door. It's not like the UAW where they priced their product out of the market because someone else can do it for less money.

Some of you really need to work on your reading comprehension skills.

Lets be honest as a factory worker myself, in 20 years if you work a factory job you will be considered a slave worse than you think you are already. Hence why you keep pouring in illegals so it dumbs down the workforce to where there will be no need for skill as anybody can do it. Making your job less important and the skills you think you have to keep your job. You will be disposable. Use all your skills then find a new one that can do it faster and cheaper.

Then going to school will be the new "base" pay.

Stew right...Aint gonna bitch about it.

As for Obama. With Barret and the other jagoffs will save this for Wisconsin making a way to pave there own political agenda even more.

The Bucyrus loan has been approved which is cool.

But now give them all speeding tickets.

I was about to get onto the freeway with my Family when I almost T-Boned a Milw. Co Sheriff. Fucker pulled out right in front of me, no lights activated or nothing. Ya, let's just say I gave him the horn.

I could give a rats ass about the President, it's nothing special to me when they come to town.

Yeah, they were flying thru West Racine today, tons of people on the sidewalks waiting for the Prez, and the Mil. Sheriffs were doing 65-70 mph in a School Zone by my house.

Anyone go to Mitchell to see Air Force 1? Regardless of who the president is, it's a pretty damn cool sight :thumbsup

Hence why you keep pouring in illegals so it dumbs down the workforce to where there will be no need for skill as anybody can do it. The composition of the workforce doesn't determine the need for skill. The type of work or products to be manufactured will however.

He is all about saving the environment with 100 some vehicles in his motorcade, what a fucking toolIn fairness, the president has no control of what is or isn't in his motorcade.

I'll say one thing that bugged me...my flight school is very restrictive in terms of the minimum weather conditions I'm allowed to do my long solo cross country...and today would have been the perfect day for it. Alas, because the president is in town, during the time I had available to fly, almost all air traffic is restricted in the general SE wisconsin area...the flight restrictions extended as far north as west bend even :wow

Again, can't hold that against the prez...it's just one of those things.

Someone's gotta keep these cops in check....just because Führer Obama is in town, they think run all over the place with reckless abandon. Just like politicians, they're overpaid and ineffective. Ya, I said it....OVERPAID. Anyways, what else is new?

lasttimearound
06-30-2010, 06:12 PM
first, its not reckless abandon. every single one of them had to pass tests in defensive driving and all sorts of crazy shit, including driving (stupid fast) on sidewalks (for the bike cops). the rest is standard operating speed, the roads are closed, but open shortly after they pass, they drive fast so if someone approaches them, they know that they are likely unfriendly. it makes sense, but people just think about themselves. just saying...

There was nothing Defensive he did more like Asshole-fensive, I was the one doing the Defensive driving... I had my Right blinker on to go onto the freeway South bound from Rawson Ave. There was another vehicle 3.5 to 4 seconds ahead of me. He jumps out with no indication, I had no where to go.. I cant go left due to vehicles being there and I'm sure as hell aint going to jump the curb.

Sigh.....people have to pass a "test" in "defensive" driving to get a license. As evident, passing a test in no way means that you're good at what you do. How come I get a ticket if I get caught driving "fast"? I was worried about someone approaching me who was likely unfriendly and feared for my safety.......

Maybe they should "re-distribute" (as Oh-bummer likes to call it) some training time to P.T...... I swear, half of them would be in the Porkchop Platoon. I mean really? They're representing the local government. I would think there should be some standards of weight control enforced.

Or I mean at the LEAST, only allow the cops that are somewhat in shape to be escorts for the President.......the last thing Wisconsin to further its "fat" image is a bunch of cops with guts hanging over their belts in the backgrounnd on national TV.
